A BRIEF REPORT ON SAFETY MEASURES IN SCHOOL
The entire school campus including the school ground is fenced with 10 ft. high brick wall meeting all the safety standards. At the main entrance a large signboard displays the entire lay-out of the school. Emergency evacuation plan and positioning of the fire extinguishers are also mention in the lay-out. There are 4 clearly marked and designated emergency exits. A mock drill regarding emergency evacuation has already been done. A total of 9 fire extinguishers have been installed in a planned way in the building. Refilling is done timely. A mock drill on ‘fire safety’ has been conducted. Teachers are assigned duties during arrival and dispersal of the students for the safe & smooth movement. Shrubs, plants and unwanted weeds are trimmed timely to keep away snakes or other harmful insects. The school is already registered on ‘Safe in School’ portal. The teachers are undertaking the safety courses offered in the portal for the enhanced safety and security of the children. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team organized a camp on ‘School Safety’ on 16.12.2023. They show-cased the ways to fight a natural disaster like – earth-quake, fire, flood, cyclone, landslides etc.
